Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These terms explain the rules for using Scavvy to create, share, and play QR scavenger hunts.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Scavvy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Scavvy.
These terms are written to explain the product rules in plain language. They do not replace advice from a qualified professional.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, login credentials, hunt content, and activity that happens through your account.
Use accurate account information and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Creating And Sharing Hunts
Scavvy lets creators build QR scavenger hunts with clues, hints, images, messages, join codes, and share links.
You are responsible for making sure your hunts are lawful, safe, appropriate for players, and shared only with the intended audience.
Do not place QR codes or clues in unsafe locations, restricted areas, private property without permission, or places where players may be encouraged to take risks.
4. Purchases
Scavvy may offer paid upgrades such as Deploy Pack and Sticky Hunt. Prices, included features, and availability may change before purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. You authorize the provider to charge the selected payment method for purchases you make.
Unless required by law or stated in the purchase flow, one time digital upgrades are final once delivered.
5. Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you add to Scavvy, including clues, messages, images, and hunt details.
You give Scavvy permission to host, process, display, store, copy, and transmit that content as needed to operate, protect, support, and improve the service.
Only upload content that you have the right to use. Do not upload private, sensitive, harmful, illegal, or infringing content.
6. Player Privacy And Consent
Creators are responsible for getting any required permission from players, parents, guardians, property owners, venues, or event hosts before running a hunt.
Do not use Scavvy to collect sensitive information from players unless you have a lawful basis and all required consent.
7. Acceptable Use
Do not use Scavvy to break the law, harass others, send spam, distribute malware, impersonate someone, infringe rights, bypass security, overload the service, scrape data without permission, or interfere with other users.
We may remove content, limit access, or suspend accounts that appear to violate these terms or create risk for Scavvy, users, players, or the public.
8. Service Availability
We work to keep Scavvy available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error free operation, permanent storage, or compatibility with every camera, browser, network, or device.
Some hunts depend on QR scanning, internet access, device permissions, external payment services, email providers, and hosting providers. Those services may fail or change outside our control.
9. Termination
You may stop using Scavvy at any time. We may suspend or end access if needed to protect the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, or address violations of these terms.
10. Disclaimers
Scavvy is provided as is and as available. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.
You are responsible for real world hunt planning, player safety, venue permission, and the suitability of clues, QR locations, and final reveal content.
11. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Scavvy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow a limit.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as Scavvy changes. The updated date will show when the terms were last revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
